Fridays crit 4/2/11
100 collection.
Issues raised :
Look at where my product could be placed.
Who's going to look at it? Focus in on my audience more.
From these notes given to me by Amber and Jo in the crits,
I need to go back to the brief and see where my product fits in.
After my crit I had a separate discussion with Jo regarding my audience and where
my product would be seen. She suggested that seeing how I am promoting the beard maybe it would be
best placed in a barber/salon. Whilst seated, waiting to get a haircut/shave you often see piles of useless outdated magazines placed on a table somewhere and you read them to pass the time. Maybe I could take advantage of this boredom and waiting by replacing those outdated mags etc with my newspaper, promoting the beard. This way I could persuade men not to get their beloved beards shaved. Although amber and jo both said it my idea was well executed and was aesthetically pleasing, there were some flaws. In my poster, I had thrown in some pink circles highlighting the beards/wise men. I chose a soft colour as it fits well with the aesthetic of the poster. This colour was a rather feminine, pink. Not a very manly colour. I need to reconsider my colour choice and analyse the REAL reason for those circles. Although they look nice they don't seem necessary
