Emailing Textbook studio

Whilst looking for smaller agencies in and around Manchester, I came across Textbook.
Textbook are a small studio based in Islington Mill in Salford. What drew me to their work was how much fun they seem to have with each project. They also contribute their time into organising workshops for students, which was something I found to be refreshing.

By luck, when I found them, it happened to be their 2nd birthday. This was a great chance to contact them as they might be in a good mood (not that I could ever see them being grumpy)

I sent them an email :

Hey guys,

Happy Birthday!

Hope you've all had a nice day. I've been a keen follower of Textbook Studio for a short while; with the work for James Corazzo and Food company Doof being just a few of my many favourites. I admire both the studio's outlook on design/studio culture as well the great contribution you guys have made towards educating other budding designers. I'm currently in my third and final year studying Graphic Design at Leeds College of Art and would love to pop into the studio (at your convenience of course) for a short chat if that's okay?

 Cheers,
 Simon Cherry

I recieved a reponse very quickly:

Hi Simon,

Thanks for the birthday wishes and the kind words about the studio. We'd be happy for you to visit, does Tues 9th April sound alright? 10.30? That day is pretty free, so if you're coming from Leeds and want to avoid rush hour / get a later train then any time would be fine by us.

 Best Vicky

I then sent them a link to my work so they knew what to expect.
